Development of the “chief blazer jacket”: our journey

We are so excited to share the journey and background of our CHIEF BLAZER JACKET with you!

As a young fashion brand that aims to empower active women who want to feel comfortable on a busy day, we took a bold step in developing a blazer jacket. To us, a well-cut blazer is a statement piece that exudes elegance, formality, and power. As Pierre Bergé once said, "Chanel liberated women, but Saint Laurent gave them power." And we couldn't agree more! The blazer jacket became a symbol of female empowerment in the 1960s, and we believe it still holds true today.

We wanted a jacket that had the timeless appeal of a smoking jacket with the added comfort and flexibility that an active woman requires. Brenda & Daniel, APPOLINE founders

With all of this in mind, we set out to create a blazer jacket that embodies our vision for the modern, active woman. We wanted a jacket that had the timeless appeal of a smoking jacket with the added comfort and flexibility that an active woman requires. That's why we opted for a loose, sporty fit that allows for freedom of movement, making it easy to run for a train or present in front of people. Feeling comfortable gives you power, and we believe our blazer jacket will make our clients feel confident, sit up straight, and be more present in any situation.

Our APPOLINE woman is also someone valuing quality and attention to detail. That's why we added real buttons to the sleeves, fabric-covered buttons, and an inner pocket. And because we believe that fashion should be fun and daring, too, we offer our 'chief suit' in pow(d)er pink, green, and a punchy beige. Who says you have to wear black on sunny days?

We wanted to share our thought process with you to give you an insight into the considerations that go into creating a product. For us, clothing is more than just looking great; it's an expression of who you are and what you want to become. This is why we think our product based on the point of view of a woman who is in search for a piece that just is what she has been looking for, that makes her feel confident, and that empowers her to take on the world.

What do you think? Do blazer jackets still symbolize chic and power, and can power pink be just as good as black? We would love to hear your thoughts!
